    Default Variation of Conditions

    Hi,
I recently applied for a variation of conditions to work for a different employer.same title, same region.
    question is:
Will I have to apply for another work visa? It seems I will be issued a new work permit but not visa...
    Am I right?
    Thanks

Visas (of any type) are issued to you when you are outside NZ. If you are applying from inside the country you will be issued with permits. If you travel to NZ on a visa, when you come through immigration it will be converted to a permit. As you are already in NZ, you would get a permit, which is the correct thing to have.

So does this mean I will have to apply for a new visa later next month when I intend to take a holiday away from NZ?

It depends whether you applied for a multi-entry permit, which means you can go in and out of NZ without having to renew when you come back in.

The visa I initially issued b4 I moved to NZ was a multi-entry visa and I cud enter or leave as many times as I wud like.
This is actually what am not sure about.
Also, my visa expires in 2011. Now that I will be issued a new permit will the expiry date change?
