hello everyone ,
i was on wrking visa in newzealand bfr.
i have a question regarding my bad credit in newzealand . actually i had some overdue payments and i didnt pay because i had to leave the country fr 9 mnths , i am plannin to enter again on visitor visa .
i am just concerned that will i have any trouble while getting in newzealand at customs or immigration . i am happy to clear my dues once i am in newzealand .
please do let me knw
and i if i get offer letter fr the job and apply residence or wrk permit does it affect my application .

hey there,

i am not 100% sure if they actually do a credit check, I only know that you wont get a visa if you owe the government any money, but I dont think you should have any problems.
Just make sure you have enough money, if they do ask any questions just tell them u ll pay as soon as u r in the country and that should be fine...
I had that with australia and told immigration I had a couple of phone bills outstanding, they didnt care at all.

One of my friends was in similar situation, I know for sure that INZ didnt do a credit check or cared about it.

NZ only cares about your financial history if you are or were bankrupt and are applying for a business visa. The only other financial things would be fraud etc, but obviously they are criminal acts rather than just being a bit late paying a few bills!
