No, it says....

If you have been in this relationship for a year or more, we may grant you a work visa or permit that allows you to stay for up to a maximum of two years.

If you have been in this relationship for less than a year, initially we can only grant you a work visa or permit for up to 12 months. Once you are here, you can apply for further work permits for a total stay of up to two years from your arrival, if:
you and your partner want to stay longer in New Zealand and can show us that you are still in a genuine and stable relationship, or
you apply for residence as a partner.

It doesn't mention that you have to have lived together for 12+ months to get the WP. That's where the difference is to other visa types. At least it will allow you to work in NZ.

now i got it.. so : they can still give me a work permit cuz only we're in a stable relationship.. but if it was also a 12+ months relationship i would get a resident permit as well... but i reckon we'll still wait for 12 months We're almost on the half way, only 6 months to go... and then get a tourist visa and change it to RP in NZ.

So do you have any idea that i can change the tourist visa into a RP or WP? I talked to a friend today about my military service, he's in the same situation with me, hasn't undertaken to military service and also studies in open university.. he says they can not just stop u in Turkey immigration because of ur military service, cuz u have ur delay from ur university and once u get there and get a WP or RP that means u can still delay the service due to your permit which i agree with him. I don't think hey can just send me back because of my military service. but turkey an NZ might have an agreement about military service...

thank you soo much again...
