Question family sponsor query

hi guys, just exploring all the options. We are waiting to hear if my hubby's medical waiver has been granted (it has been over 2 weeks now ) In the meantime my visa officer has said that if I took him off our application, then visas would be granted for me and our children. I dont really want to split the family up, as it has been stressful enough already.
What I'd like to know is if I did go out with the girls, is there a mimimum time limit of being a NZ resident, in order to sponsor my hubby to rejoin us? Could he even go out with us on a visitors visa, and then apply after the six months?
Any help on this would be great, Ali xx

Hi Ali,

It doesn't say here how long you need to have held PR if you apply to sponsor you OH under the Family Category (Partnership Policy) so I guess you don't have any qualifying period like with the Parent Policy.

The main worrying thing is that, however you try to get hubby in, he will still have to undergo a medical and will, presumably come up against the same obstacles as before.
