Default Nurses - Annual Practising Certificate

I am in the process of apply for my APC. As I have not worked in NZ all my work has been in the UK I have to give evidence of my practice hours. How did others get this? Is a statement from the HR dept of the trust ok or do you have to get a statement from the ward manager/matron? I have worked for 2 trusts so would have some problem in getting this from the ward managers. Also how did you show that you had completed 60 hours of professional developement? When they ask for the working hours to be broken down year by year when is each year deemed to have started?

I have asked these questions of the NZNC but have not yet had a response.

Smile I'm waiting too

Hi I'm new to this forum but have been having a look about and I am waiting to hear back from NZNC as well. My story is a bit different I lived in NZ from 1997 - 2002 and was enrolled there as an Enrolled nurse and I got my citizenship in 2002, my son is Kiwi and hubby has Aust citizenship through his dad. We came back in 2002 after my son was born ( home sick) and I have just completed my conversion course. I now have to go through the whole process from scratch and may have to start on a new grad scheme when I go back in April even though I've been trained for 15 years. I got my nurse manager to write to NZNC as part of the reference letters in the application pack advising them of my work hours over the past 3 years. I only posted it just before xmas so not heard anything yet. I think I'll still be able to practice as an EN if it's not through in time before we leave, though EN's have been demoted to Nursing assistants now.
Good luck with your application and let me know how things are going
