Default WHV Medicals v PR Medicals

Hello,

Can any one tell me if they have been able to use their WHV medicals when they apply for residency?

We got our medicals about 4 months ago and were wondering if we were to go for PR could we use those medicals as part of our application.

I was also wondering if there have been many people who started off with WHV then moved for residency and what your experience was?

Cheers
A

Default Re: WHV Medicals v PR Medicals

Hi Amy,

I know the medical certs are only valid for 3 months, but I don't know if, once they are in NZIS's hands, they remain valid. ?Probably only for the initial application, I'd think. I'll try and have a hunt around when I've got a mo. ?

I'm sure there must be several folks could answer this as they've gone on WHVs, but whether they'll be looking in shortly or not, I wouldn't like to say. ?If you do have to have another medical it should be cheaper and easier now you're in NZ as a normal GP can do them.

Edited to add: ?I think the X-rays, at least, are valid for 12 months, so one less thing to worry about. ?
