Default changing WHS to work visa

Hi all,

has anyone changed his/her WHS to work visa ? Once in NZ, I do not want to be limited by three months/per employer policy. ? I wonder if it is possible to change WHA to work visas in these three months? ?[smiley=icon_confused.gif]

Anyone has experience with that ? ?;)

Thanks.

Hi Maka,

Yes, it's possible, but only if you have found work on the shortage list. Without a job, or not having a job on the shortage list, you will not qualify for one.

Well, what I said wasnt entirely correct, if you find a job not on the shortage list, your employer must be approved or apply for approval to sponsor overseas applicants, at a very large cost!

Possibly the best way in your case would be to find the job you wish to settle in, get a work permit for that to start work, then apply for PR once it's all sorted!

Other than that, it's find a job and wait for PR :icon_confused:
