    Default Rain warnings issued

At least the rainwater tanks should be full.

    Rain warnings issued
    New 2:19PM Wednesday Oct 14, 2009

Rain warnings are in place for the Waikato and the central North Island.

A large depression, described by weather analysts as a seven-day low, is moving in from Tasmania. It is so large it is predicted to take up to seven days to cross the country.

Warnings have been issued for Waikato, Taumarunui, Tongariro, Taihape and Taranaki.

MetService says up to 120 millimetres of rain is likely to fall, with the heaviest falls expected late tomorrow morning and afternoon.
