    Plumbers' board under scrutiny
    New 2:00PM Monday Nov 17, 2008

An inquiry has been launched into the activities and performance of the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board.

The Office of the Auditor General has announced it will look at the way the body registers and licenses tradesmen, as well as the way it sets its examinations for those who wish to enter the industry.

It is not the first time the board has been under official scrutiny, official concerns have been raised several times in the past eight years.

they wanna look into CORGI over here in the UK, they charge extornionate fees for just about anything short of oxygen - it is good trades are governed but that then turns into a commercial affair for the said governing body - dare I say monopoly and a license to extract money.
