    Default Passengers fumigated

I hope this doesn't happen very often, having just had a very near death experience with bug spray in my bathroom a couple of weeks ago. My lungs totally locked up and I truly thought I was a goner.

I've had this happen to me before, I can't remember if it was when I was landing in Australia or New Zealand - maybe that's a side-affect of the spray I do remember it smelling pretty vile and that plane was left quite foggy.

Do they even ask beforehand if anyone has breathing difficulties or allergies? It's quite worrying if they don't. I REALLY don't want to go through anything like that again. It was much too close for comfort.

I don't really remember, I'm sure there was some announcement, probably one of those over the tanoy system where you can only understand every other word. I've only had it happen once and I've flown into NZ four times, flying in from either Australia or LA, so I'm not sure if it's dependent on where your port of origin was.

Maybe you could have one of those little masks with you, like the ones they had when SARS was about, and you could pop that on if they started spraying.
