Milder start to winter?
Strange, I thought they blamed La Nina for the cold start to summer.
La Nina to temper winter 7:00AM Friday May 04, 2007 Temperatures are likely to be milder than average for early winter. Niwa says conditions in the east are expected to be slightly drier than normal. The tropical Pacific is currently in a neutral state, but there is a 50 per cent chance of La Nina conditions developing during the next three months.
