There's a preview of the new layout available if you fancy some colour in your life

Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and on the bottom bar you should see a dropdown box available on the left. Select 'MoveToNZ' from the list and the page will change. You can change back at any time if you don't like it!

The new layout is a work in progress, so some bits aren't all that pretty at the moment!

Nice sunny, warm colours but I'm not sure yet. I'll stick with it and see how it develops once you've fine-tuned it. As you say, at the moment it's a bit rough with the top banner not being in alignment and things missing off it. There's something wrong with the edges, like they should be more defined. Personally I'd prefer to see more of the gold colour instead of the grey, as it's lost and ineffective with just thin strips around the sides. Currently it just looks like you've introduced additional non-related colour into the existing forum.

I was going to ask if the Additional Options parts could be collapsible but I now see it already is.

It will be interesting to see how others respond to it.

Sneaky, I see you've added extra bits since I posted the above. The top banner looks a bit naked and stark without anything on it apart from the globe and name. Can't you fit our kiwi into the right hand side? There's plenty of room for him.

We must have a 'name the kiwi' competition if he does come back.

Those extra bits were already there, I expect you changed the style while readnig this post so you wouldnt have noticed them until afterwards!

The kiwi may make a comeback. I'll see what his agent has to say...

I hope he's not going to charge more for his services now he knows he's in demand , You know what they're like, these kiwis.

Are you going to continue the band of colour down the left hand side? It looks messy with a gap and then the bottom bit sticks out again. What would a soft, quiet cream or light beige look like instead of the grey, which spoils the effect of the warm tones? Perhaps some outlining around the perimeter and between the coloured boxes on the left and the forum? The edges look a bit wobbly to me and need tidying up.

I still think we should go for this style which was one of my very helpful suggestions when we had the Yabb forum. Hits you right between the eyes . There'd be no missing THIS forum.

What! But I'm on the new style one. Isn't he coming onto the new forum? There's a lovely big gap at the top with his name on it. Not much point putting him on the old one if you're revving up to launch a new one.

I'm very surprised some of our regulars haven't commented on the proposed new layout yet. It usually starts up a debate on what's cool and what's not. It's still looking very straggly though with bits and pieces sticking out all over the place and it needs pulling together. The Home Page doesn't look too bad though although I'm not sure about the yellowy colour around the outside which doesn't seem to match with anything else.

Not even an offer to name the kiwi and after all the fuss about its disappearance, too.

Is it male or female before I venture forth with any more name suggestions?

I'm not sure if I like the new design yet, so havent finished it off.

There's probably no comments as (unlike my normal approach!) I've not forced it on anyone. I doubt many have even looked at it yet!

The kiwi can be any gender, depending on the best name offered up!
