It's not a tab on the Edit box, the signature pic has it's own separate box underneath the Edit box and the red link to insert the pic is at top centre of that box. You don't put the url for your smiley in the Edit box, it goes in the Signature Picture box below it. If you haven't got such a box then it's a case for the Taffmeister to sort out as it'll be him that's short-changed you.



This is the link to mine so perhaps you can see how it looks 'from the inside'. I hope you can see it and it's not just me that can. If yours doesn't look like this, you've got a problem.

The one in blue is the one to click on which will take you into the screen where you deal with any edits on your signature. There should be 2 biggish boxes - one entitled Edit Signature and another one under that entitled Signature Picture.

It's the Signature Picture one that you need. Have you got that one?

I wondered if you wouldn't be able to see my editing page because anyone else seeing it might be able to fiddle with it. Although I could see the page when I opened the link I suppose no one else can see it as a security measure.

From looking at the 'signature permissions' I am not cleared to upload images or animated GIF for my signature.

Taffy must have disabled this on my user.

That's a bugger. There's no reason at all why you should be barred from doing things with your signature, but it does happen from time to time that something's not been set up right.

I had problems when the new site first came up where I couldn't do certain simple things, but Taffy sorted it out. Hopefully, he can do the same for you. I'll send him an email to nudge him in case he doesn't look down this end of the forum for a few days. We can't have the forum deprived of more smileys now, can we?

My thoughts exactly - especially in this festive season we want more colour. Plus I need to have something to do with all my leisure time

Just checked mine and I have all the permissions so there's obviously a fault with your settings. I don't think Taffy does each one individually, it's probably just how the site sets itself up before it gets tweaked. I've despatched an email post haste so perhaps you can try again tomorrow.

I've changed a few things around now, so that anyone with 100+ posts becomes a 'Full Member' with added priviliges. You'll be able to:

Create your own custom title, like MB's 'The Missing Link'
Upload images to your signature
Better upload priviliges

This update will be going through shortly :)
