Default Today's Posts and New Posts
I always like to rope in a few supporters, so when Taffy chimes in that 'It's just you, Bear', I have backup, so I'll ask is anyone else confused between the Today's Posts and the New Posts?

They appear to me to be totally different. Whereas I understand that Today's Posts might offer up all that has gone on during the day and New Posts will be just that, new ones, when I've brought up Today's Posts, it often doesn't show the newer posts. I end up not knowing which posts I've read and which I haven't and am continually flicking in and out of posts I've already read.

In the end I tend to just return to the main menu and do it manually. I often wonder if I've missed any posts and maybe others have been having the same problem.

Also some of my threads have reverted back to showing the oldest posts first where they were OK to begin with.

I'm with you Glenda!

If you want all the new posts, just click on New Posts. That clears that one up!

If some of your posts are showing the oldest first, then you've been fiddling with your settings again! Bad Bear.

No I haven't.

With the posts thing - sometimes I find a heading Today's Posts at the top, other times I can't find that but there's a heading New Posts so I have to use that instead. Having to switch from one to the other brings up a different set of topics and I often can't find new posts that I know have just come in or that I've just posted. It's not consistent.

OK, I'll go and play quietly in the corner. Alright, maybe not so quietly.

I can't say I've ever seen a Todays Posts link. It always seems to say New Posts for me? It's amazing what a Bear can do to a website.

Oh hell, I give up . I must surely be living in a parallel universe as I always seem to see things that others can't. Does that make me a visionary?

Next time I see a Today's Posts I'll try to check under what circumstances it appears. I can't bring it up myself, it just appears at times in place of New Posts.

I've found it. It appears when you're not logged in.

If you're not logged in, the forum doesnt know what you've read and what you havent, so just shows you todays posts. When you log in, it knows your history so can show you just the new posts.

Another problem solved...

Thank goodness for that, another day I manage to escape the clutches of the asylum.

I still don't understand why Today's Posts doesn't show the newer posts though. Not to worry, life's too short.
