New post notifications

Is anyone else having problems with sporadic notifications? I'm getting quite a few through, but other times when I look at the forum, I find that members have posted but there's been no notification. I know about subscribing to the various threads, but sometimes I'll get notifications for a post, but not other times. It's not consistent.

I've often thought there weren't any new posts, only to find that there have in fact been some busy people on there.

It depends if you're subscribed to view new posts, or just new threads. If you want notification of everything, I can set you up for that.

I would like notifications for everything please, but what I'm experiencing at the moment is that I may start to have notifications for a particular post, but then it might stop. It stops and starts without reason. Perhaps it's my mail provider playing up?

I'm just aware of casually glancing at the forum, not expecting to see anything on there because I haven't been notified, only to find that there are new posts. I don't just mean new topics either, it happens on existing topics that I've already had notifications on.

You also only get one notification per post now, and dont get another one until you have read that post again. The previous one used to send a note every time someone replied, whether you'd read it or not. Perhaps thats part of your issue.

Don't think so. I know there's only one notification at a time, but I clear them pretty regularly and also read the posts too, although I would admit to reading them off the notification email sometimes instead of opening the forum.

Maybe that's when it's happening - I've read the posts but not from the forum. I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if that's what's happening. The forum probably doesn't register that I've read those posts.
