Before I vote on this important issue, a few questions:

But at what cost? Will we lose anything else? Will there be benefits in that some of the damage i.e. lost posts will magically reappear?

Most important concern is what about security on there and will we have a repeat of the hacking as I get the impression that hacking forums is quite a pastime for some anuses (or is that anusii?)

No magic I'm afraid, and it will always be a much greater security risk.

So we might find ourselves in the same position again at any time? You've already mentioned that hackers were attacking the old Chat Room the other day. It's very worrying but I'm sure you must have some confidence that things are, at least, a bit better on there now as you surely wouldn't want to live through the last couple of weeks again.

Taffy, haven't you put hours and hours of work into this new thing? Aren't you loathe to have done all that for nothing? My heart wants the old forum, just sentimental I guess, but there was also a load of stuff on there that seems to be somehow missing from here.

And what about them hacking in again? Could they hack into here as easily? It just all seems such a shame coz it's you that has to deal with it either way. If you, our leader, have faith in returning to the old site than so do I!! I'm in!!

Yes, I would like the old forum back, but have voted "Don't Care". Not that I don't care it is just that we have to be sensible here ... if it is likely that the old forum could hacked into again (maybe even by the same anuses/anusii) then we should stick with the more secure newer one.

Well, there's nothing on the old forum that I cant add to this one if it's just features you miss. Check out my new post - The Wish List - and add what you want back from the old forum.

If it's just certain features like smileys you miss, then this forum is definately the safest option. I can also redesign this forum to look a lot like the old one, if it's looks you miss.

The change was made for good and valid reasons..
It's not just a 2 minute flick of a swicth to change these things round..

we can make posts and read posts.. and that basically all thats needed..

I can recall when the old forum got the make over to the new design, no one liked it! Now everyone misses it, so I guess it's a matter of what you are used to.
