I know I've just come in from dazzling sunlight, so was trying to adjust my vision so I could decide if the forum has got lighter or not. ?It obviously must have if you're asking. ?Looks much brighter now, but there's still some blue missing to give balance. ?

Can you darken the blue strips on the front page (currently very light blue with a darker tab on it)? ?Just need a bit of warm blue to counter the effects of the cooler (but lighter [smiley=023.gif]) grey. ?I'm thinking along the lines of the Home page where the warmer blue runs across the whole line and maybe have the tab a bit darker. ?You've changed the top of the forum as well. ?Went to click on Back to Website and it wasn't where I last left it. ?And where are all your adverts. ?Each time you revamp the forum, you lose an ad on each page. ? :o ?Not good for business.

Would there be any chance of extending the range of Search items that are allowed? ?Currently we're only permitted 15 and that's it. ?If I'm looking for a post or thread that contains a rather common word and which may be an older post/thread, I find my 'allowance' of 15 runs out before I'm anywhere near the date of the post/thread I'm looking for and I can't see a way past it e.g. View next 15. ?I tried altering the number, but it told me in no uncertain terms that that's all I'm getting. ?

The other day I was looking up the word 'consultant' to illustrate members' displeasure regarding immigration agents. The search results page was filled before I'd even gone back past August so I had to give up. ?[smiley=102.gif]

It's not a no, its a not feasible at the moment. The problem this forum has is that it stores all the posts as files, rather than in a database like the old one. Searching text files consumes a lot of resources, so is therefore slow, and also makes the site go slow while people search. I'm working on converting it to a database driven forum, which will be much better.
