Default Visa application guidelines

I was thinking how useful it would be if those members who've been going through the various processes involved in gaining different types of visas e.g. LTBV, WHV, Work Permit, Work to Residence etc. could find time to set out their experiences in easy to digest steps, so others could follow them more easily. It would be something like is shown on the link I posted as a sticky on the EOI forum, only in a simple list rather than a fiddly set of boxes.

It's gone quiet on here again lately and will probably continue like this through the UK summer, no doubt. With less members contributing there will be less valuable information being doled out, so the likes of myself, who don't know owt, would appreciate something solid to refer to when trying to assist a questioner.

I know I'm getting batty-brained trying to follow all the different paths these visa applications follow, especially when NZIS continually move the goalposts, so I, for one, would be relieved to have a set of guidelines to follow that doesn't involve hours of my time ferreting through the NZIS site looking for a needle in a haystack.

It sounds like you're training for a job with NZIS, MB. You'll know as much as they do soon enough.

I just wish I had a retentive brain so that I could keep hold of everything I?ve learnt on here. It?s quite exasperating to keep looking up things that I know I?ve posted before, but since forgotten the content of.

NZIS are currently undergoing a big review of their system, so it would be excellent if they also considered revamping their notoriously difficult website. As an example, they have a HUGE list which forms their index for the site. The list is ?helpfully? in alphabetical order, but it?s their file references that are in alphabetical order, not the topics, so we still need to scan through the whole list to look for what we need. Half of their links don?t lead anywhere as well. Many a time I?ve clicked on a link and just got ?This page cannot be displayed?. A lot of use that is when someone is desperately needing some information.

There's a lot of scope for improvement on there alone as it's much too convoluted and the thought of having to wade in there strikes fear and panic in a lot of people, especially when there's a good chance they won't even find what they're looking for.
