Hi ther,

Just wondering whether newbies might find a FAQ section and/or list of common terms useful. We all know what EOI, ITA etc is but some people won't.

Sounds like a plan!! Glossary would be helpful certainly, faq may be a bit more complex but probably doable.

Doh!

There's a Immigration FAQ on the main site and a link right at the top of the page, shows how much attention I pay, I must see it every day! :-[

Glossary sounds better than what I said.

hehe. That faq is a little outdated if I recall correctly tho. So the point is still relevant.

Glossary does work tho your right, perhaps I could put 'glossary - common terms' in a new glossary we write :icon_biggrin:

I'll have a scout around and see what I can come up with although I'm not entirely up to speed with terminology as I'm not going via the normal routes. If anyone can think of any of the more unusual terms, I'll try to rustle up some of the more commonly used ones in between cleaning up cat froth and wee . If I can compile a list, where do you want me to stick it? Only respectable answers, please. [smiley=003.gif]

Perhaps I should create a sticky on General and anyone with some suggestions for abbreviations and their meanings could add them in a new thread below. I could then move them to the sticky and delete the post once they had been added to the list. We'll try it and see how it goes as there's no way I'm going to be able to come up with all the necessary ones.

I've thrown something together on a sticky at the top of General Chat, but it's only commonly used abbreviations. If anyone has any ideas on what else to put on there, let me know please.
