Forum Re-vamping

We are hopefully going in a couple of weeks (fingers, toes and all other bits and pieces crossed! :icon_biggrin: ). We are just waiting to get an exchange date before we book our flights.

A suggestion: could there be some instructions about how to post photos on here please? I don't think I'm the only one that doesn't know how to do it. (It's OK, I don't have any 'naked-Taffy-on-a-sheepskin-rug-as-a-baby' photos that you need worry about)

You have to know the URL of the image you want to post, then just put the full URL in between 2 'Img' tags.

So, take a look when you post / reply next, you will see the command buttons just above the typing box. Click 'Img', paste in your image URL, then click 'Img*' to end it. That will pull in the photo from wherever it is. Bear in mind that it has to be the url to the image itself, including the filename of the image:

movetonz.org/stuff/imagename.jpg

That kind of thing... Thats it!!

Yes, I know how to do that but what about personal photos that don't have a URL e.g. from My Pictures?

P.S. ENZ has a topic called Making the Move. Don't know if it matters or whether you want to change it to 'Getting under way' or 'Preparing for the move' etc.

Unless you have some webspace somewhere, then you cant do it sorry!

That's a bummer. Must be a lot of people who have personal photos on their PC that would like to upload them to the forum. That means that none of us can put our holiday (or otherwise) snaps on here :022: . There seem to be heaps of photos on other forums and they can't all have personal websites.

Some people use the free space given to them by their ISP or use free-sites such as geocities or angelfire.

If there are a lot of people who have photos to upload, i'll create an upload area so they can be hosted on the MoveToNZ server.
