Suggested addition/enhancements

Just been pondering to myself (bet you wish you'd never asked) and have come up with an ickle list.
1. Climate ticker on homepage: Could it bea rolling banner to show other areas too such as Auckland and Christchurch, maybe even Hawkes Bay and Invercargill too?
2. Area Info: When was the last update on these, there is barely any info on SI. Perhaps there could be a willing new research addict who wouldn't mind helping out. Also are the Average Salaries in GBP or NZD, seems like GBP.
3. Could we have a random ramblings section on the Forums for jokes and inane comment etc.

Just thoughts

1. The bar on the homepage was the best I could find at the time.. maybe I'll create a whole weather page to squeeze in more areas...

2. The area info gets updated as people contribute. The statistics are from the NZ Govt. stats website, and are correct as of 2003. When they update their stats, i'll have a stab at updating that section. The average wage is in NZD, and seem pretty low, but the figures do include the entire population, including the retired and unemployed.

what about a seperate forum for all these people getting the good news about their selection for PR or their ITA going through or EOI being approved..

I wasn't suggesting you update the area section taffy thats huge, I just thought that maybe someone else could contribute, I know Steve Netwriter used to write essays in all his posts so obviously had time to research etc. Altho haven't seen him for a while now.
Surely a rotatiing banner/Animated Gif could give the information on a couple of other places without too much trouble. Even a scrolling info bar pehaps?

It was just your random request of 'can we have a webcam', I just pictured a webcam with a 1200 mile cable on it to attach to the web server.
