Have you tried everywhere to find that bit of information, or a service you need but just cant find it anywhere?

Then let us know! We aim to provide the most comprehensive, FREE service available to any potential migrants, so input from you is the best way to get there!

Thanks in advance :)

P.S. NZ related only!

Default possibly what your already doing but....

I reckon with all the knowledge you have and the amount of members that are now registered you could make this the one stop shop for people emigrating to NZ..

Have a link to the official nzis site to the bit where you can download the forms..
Have a self assesment type application that will work out your points..

basically do everything that these agencies charge an arm and a leg to do but everyone muck in and helps everyone else along..

I reckon it could just be another forum and each person has there own "account" if you like and when they come up against a brick wall the collective will help them out.. also if they come across a solution/work around to a particular situation then they can post there info here...

I think a lot of this is basically what you do anyway..?

another thing might be scheduling a chat ..
Every time i visit the sie I have a look to see whos chatting.. and no one ever is..

there you go pick the bones out of that...

Hi,
Well, all the forms and guides (the important ones anyway) are already available in the links section of the website, so thats one tick on the list :)

The points self assessment thing should be fairly straight forward to incorporate, so will work on that one!

I'm not sure what you mean by the forum/account thing? Do you mean to operate in a manner like an agency, with people having 'client' accounts? With guides to filling in forms and following procedures?

As for the chat, well its been tried before! Its difficult to acheive a scheduled chat, but we'll take a look at making things easier for everyone.

Its an excellent idea, but with one upcoming problem... NZ government are planning (and are in discussion already) to regulate the immigration industry. If and when this happens, anyone offering a specific service to directly help people with immigration applications will need to be registered. Of course, this registration wont be without its costs! If we did implement such a system, we would have to charge people to cover the cost of registration, plus all the relevant operations manuals and guides that also must be aquired.

Of course, it would be as low a cost as possible, but none the less it would have to be paid for. At the moment, voluntary registration costs several hundred NZ dollars so I would imagine that the compulsory system would be much the same.

On the same level, this compulsory registration will very likely drive up the cost of using agents as many already operating will not pursue this registration (namely the ones who offer a poor service level). So, on one hand it will be good if we can offer a cheap and precise service, compared to using an agency, but on the other hand, I dont know how many people would like to use such a service, and would leave me very much out of pocket!

Maybe it should be put to a vote!

Well, yes, it could well be a business opportunity, but working as a collective like you mentioned (even though that makes us sound like the 'Borg' from star trek!) with members helping people trying to apply, I dont think people would be to pleased to help a profiting organisation! I did have a thought on the subject though, and cosidered keeping it as a free service, but giving people the ability to donate money at their own discretion. That way, i dont end up in the poor house, the service remains free and anyone that is helped can (hopefully) show their appreciation by donating a few shillings!

Thought that was a fair way of doing things, considering how much agencies charge!!

Ok, this is now a work in progress. Watch this space for developments on the new system.

I hope someone uses it as its a lot of work!
