I love making panoramas too -- I'm attaching a few that you might enjoy.

The beaches are Kaiteriteri (near Abel Tasman park at the top-of-the-south island) -- one shot from the Kaiteri side and the other from Little Kaiteri. The rocky field is a spot on the hill between Kaiteriteri and the Takaka Valley. The sunset was taken from my home in Nelson.

Since the original topic was to post photos of "your town or city", I'm including a few like that here.

The street scene is in Nelson. The two with houses on a hill are the Port Hills area of town, along with part of the port visible on the left side of one of them. Both were taken from the Hualashore island.

I'm also including a picture of Hualashore itself, taken from our house, along with another sunset (sorry, can't help myself with the sunset photos).

How's it going for you in Tauranga? How does it compare with Wellie? I bet there's quite a difference between the two.

Hey MB!

Tauranga is fab thanks - we're LOVING it! Soooo different to Welly - much better climate (it's not til you move away that you realise how bad the wind is down there and actually how cold it can be too when that southerly hits!), more relaxed/holiday feel, we're so close to the beach and harbour and the lakes around Rotorua too (where we love spending time - going down for Xmas and it's only an hour's drive instead of 7 - 8 hours with the boat from Welly!) - can u tell we're really happy we made the move?

Don't get me wrong - I love Wellington as a city (we're still getting married there next year!) and it did us well for 3 years and we've got some really good friends down there, it's just the weather wasn't right for what we wanted to be doing unfortunately.

Wages up here are quite a lot lower than Welly (and a lot less work up here too) but luckily Daz is working from home for the same company as he was in Welly so thats a bonus. I'm working from home too for a web design company in LA and it's such a great way to work! Luckily we've been able to meet people up here despite working from home - we've made frends with people from another web design company here I work closely with, our neighbours are really nice both sides and Daz has joined the volunteer coastguard so meeting people thru there too. It's all about making the most of what you've got and getting out there which we seem to be doing ok at the moment!

We're still waiting in the wings for the right time to make our application. As time rolls on, we just get a bit jittery in case the government decides to change the rules or our health takes a nose-dive. At our age, some things can't be taken for granted.

Just thought I'd add a few pics of Lake Rotoiti (near Rotorua) seeing as I've been playing organiser lately and sorting out all our photos! :o) This is where we spent Christmas - it was fab!
