Default Waikato really DOES have scenery!!

Ooooo....

Ahhh.....

Wow!.....

See! Better than boring old Cantebury Plains!!

I'll just point out here, as the photo of the waterfall is quite deceptive.. thats actually about a 300 foot drop!

Here's a nice pic of the moon rising over the horizon [smiley=icon_biggrin.gif]

See, Waikato is lovely after all.. shame the pic didnt come out too well, this view was breath-taking when you were there in body!

So what your saying is that's not grass growing on the side

I never said Waikato didn't have scenery. I mean, if you love black/white/brown spots, wow, that's the place for you!!

Seriously though, Waikato does have some cool areas. Raglan and the beach at Raglan. Waitomo and it's caves (ooooh, ahhhh), and there's some Mount "Rooo a pay hoo" around there right? People go water skiing and look at the kangaroos and koala's there? [smiley=icon_razz.gif] [smiley=icon_wink.gif]

No worries. I've brought my thermals, umbrella, anorak, jumpers and woollie socks out of storage, so I'm now ready for anything. It's all a ploy to fool the weather gods, as they will no doubt try to play tricks on me by creating a heatwave for when we're there ;) . It's always the same, whatever clothing I take, be it for cold weather or hot, the weather always turns out the opposite. At least shorts don't take up much room in the case so I can sneak some of them in to cover me for all eventualities.

In the second photo, there is actually a very dramatic scene with a huge mountain range in the distance.. The sun kinda dazzled it all out, but never mind... will just have to take the drive out again and take another few pics!!
