    TanyaJ, Did your partner go to the seminar yesterday (1September)? If so, is there any light at the end of the tunnel? I will share with you what I have been told:
    a) Need residency first to become a sworn member.
    b) with a work permit you can apply for non-sworn positions, EXCLUDING communicaters' positions.

    Is there anything more you can add to this?
