Welcome to the forum. It's great to know that there's another Filipino out there dreaming of migrating to NZ and acting on it.

Am also new to the forum but have learned a lot since I joined. You may wish to browse on some of the old threads as it did answer some of my questions. Being in this forum has also strengthened my resolve to really go for it coz everything seems to be clearer.

I am a little short in points so I need to have a job offer for me to be able to apply for either a work visa or lodge my EOI. So your question is also foremost in my mind, i.e. "will they hire if you are still outside of NZ?" But reading through the messages here, I believe that you can get a job offer while in the Phil. coz some of the people in the forum already have a job offer before they went to NZ. I have yet to find out coz I am still to submit my letter and resume online. I have seen a lot of available jobs in administration in seek.co.nz, so that would be a good start.

I have given myself timeframes of my plan. If there won't be any takers, then I would go to NZ on a visitors visa and look for a job there. I think employers might not really be that keen on taking the risk of hiring somebody who is not in NZ, but once you are there, then that's a different ballgame.

So where in the Phils. are you from?
