Only 2 weeks left before you go, Jon . How are you shaping up? Butterflies kicking in yet? Must be an exciting time for you and Lou. All the best for your last days in the UK.

OK, we will bring them with us.

Certainly got a few butterflies! Not so much with moving to NZ, more to do with the flight and our 2 kids. 30 minutes in the car is bad enough with them! I hope they have strong coffee on the plane as I think I will be needing it.

OK WG, consider the flags packed! They are only teeney so will defo be able to find room for them.

I can't believe we are soo close to finally making the move, and as bizarre as it sounds, it still doens't feel real.

Can't wait to catch up soon .... we were thinking of maybe catching you properly over weekend 16th/17th August with Dawn & co too?

... and also on the Weds 13th if you are about for a very jet-lagged coffee?

    Lou

Oh boy, 23 or so hours of "Are we there yet?" You could always slip a little rum in their juice... or into yours Bon voyage!

We've done the flight twice now with the kids, and to be completely honest, we were absolutely dreading it both times, but it really was nowhere near as bad as we had imagined. Yes its hard work keeping them occupied, you know what live wires Frankie and Ollie are!, but they both slept quite a bit, got excited about eating food in funny pots on a tray, and just nosed round at what everyone else was up to. Frankie loved fiddling round with the TV controls, as I'm sure James and Lauren will too. Its not the most relaxing experience for you as a parent, but its soon forgotten once you land.

Maybe think about packing some new little toys/books in your hand luggage, and I have to admit we packed quite a few of their favourite treats to use at times when we really needed them to be sitting down and quiet.

Am so excited for you all, think of the new adventure you are embarking on, not just the few hours (!) it will take you to get there. Hope to catch up with you next Sunday if you are still able to make it.

    Love and luck

    Maggie and the troops xx
