Talking Exchanged contracts & booked flights!!
WAHOO exchanged contracts on the house today, we weren't expecting that to happen until next week, we've got a completion date of 25 June, have just booked flights with Singapore Air from Manchester to Auckland on 3 July. I can't believe that it's finally happening. Am on my 2nd glass of champagne so thought I'd let you guys know before we started the next bottle and I can still type.

My hubby is on the phone to his dad at the mo, bit of a hard phone call because he's happy for us but really doesn't want us to go, he has COPD so it's very likely that we won't be seeing him again, it's quite a hard reality to face. But on the flip side - I'm counting down the minutes until I can ring my mum in NZ and let her know that after nearly 10 years I'm finally coming home

So some very exciting news from me, very mixed emotions in my house at the moment - for all of us, but here's the next step in the adventure

Feb 08 - our sale has fallen through
19 March 08 - accepted another offer on the house
Booked tickets, will arrive in NZ 4 July 2008
Currently enjoying the 'weather bomb' in Northland July 08

Thanks Keeweegal. I'm off to prepare myself for the phone call to my mum, I hadn't even told her that we had an offer of the house cos I didn't want to get her hopes up just in case it all fell through. I think it's going to come as a bit of a shock to her, maybe I should ask her to sit down before I tell her.

I very nearly did I just come back on line to check that I've got the time differences right...so it's 7.09am...shall I...she says she never really sleeps anymore....or can I wait until it's at least 8am NZ time?
