Aaaah, I was just about to give you a hearty pat on the back for being a true MTNZ forumite and overcoming all obstacles and harships just so you could still tune in to us. Now I have trouble deciding whether it was the pull of the forum that got you to the pub or whether you're using checking the forum as an excuse to go down the pub. Either way, we're glad to hear that you haven't totally deserted us. Perhaps, in the future, you'll look back on the forum through a rosey, alcoholic glow and think of us kindly.

I'm sure Lou will have a great time in NZ. Just imagine all the news she'll have to bring back to you. That's if she does come back. She might join the Hamilton groupies and that's the last you'll see of her until you arrive there yourself.

I'm not down the pub at the moment MB. It's not 10am yet which is too early even for me! I will have to get Taffy or some over helpful sole to point Lu in the right direction for topping up our NZ Vodafine Sim so she can at least txt me while she is out there as I fear we only have about $1 credit left on it, and I dont know the log in details for topping it up on-line!

So, down to the nitty gritty. What are the drinking establishments like in Hamilton?

Oh right. I misinterpreted your post and missed out the vital words about the pub having wi-fi as well. It's well gone lunchtime here so it hadn't occurred to me that it was too early for the pub to be open. You must have Internet access in the holiday let then?

No internet at holiday let, I am at work at the moment so making the most of it. Only in half a day and then off work again for about 3 weeks! It's great working at a school, all these holidays!

Oh right (again ). You had me confused there for a minute or three. It doesn't take a lot . It's good that you can manage to pop in to see us even if it is only now and then.

and now he's gone again until Friday so we can say whatever we like about him

That is of course, assuming he doesn't sneak off to the pub!

There's an aweful lot of shameless plugging going on around here. Between you and KH, there can't be much shame left!

I'm amazed your house hasn't sold yet, it's a great place in a fab location. Is it still tenanted? (Sorry for hijacking your thread Lou!)

Yes, we shall all make her the same cup of tea at once. That'll be interesting and BJ the 'drinking establishments just aren't the same dude. There aren't any nice country pubs with beer gardens where you can just grab a pint on a Sunday afternoon - or any afternoon, morning or evening for that matter. The culture is completely different - it's kind of wine bar, cafe, street bar culture and then there are gaming lounges for 'blokes'. Really odd actually. We do miss it. We used to live across the road from a village restaurant/pub. Loved just strolling over the road with kids on a sunny afternoon and then staggering back again a little later

Thanks for the offer Maggie, but as I like to cycle to work I think the commute from your place to Hamilton might be a tad too far!

Just had my itinary through from the company ... Tuesday is full of interview type stuff, including an IQ test which I'm really not too sure about (I like interviews but am now freaked out about a test .. more so than the flight).

However, I have Wednesday and Thusday (till 3.15pm) completely to myself to explore so what should I do and see?

Lou
