Cool Just over 3 weeks to go!!!!!!!!

Well guys it's just over 3 weeks until we get on the plane to NZ.

Anyone got any advice, tips, info for me about what I should do before we get on the plane, whilst on the plane or whilst we land in Windy Welli?

Not sure how i'm feeling at the moment and not sure it has even sunk in yet- i'm sure i'll know about it when it does.

Use the online check-in before you go to the airport B. My parents had to sit in different rows when they flew out last month. Not good.

I was able to choose our seats when we booked - and we aren't flying until September.

We got some tote isotoner slippers( w/ rubber sole) to wear on the plane over, because they were comfortable and to ease the fear mongering USA rules, I would maybe suggest a favorite blanket or anything else that makes you feel comfortable. Air NZ has plenty of TV,music to enjoy and we also purchased our tickets online and were able to choose our seats, I picked the middle seats just incase the plane busted in 2 we would be the first to skydive into the sea (dont do what I did, and stare at the onboard plane locator)...anyway have a nice flight and good luck in NZ, please keep the forum informed on the job search.....COMON MARCH, enough snow already

I always try to resist clock-watching as it only makes the flight seem even longer. I get on the plane with the thought that the flight ends when I get off again and not before, so what's the point of looking at my watch every hour? I just switch off and sleep when I want, watch films when I want, eat and drink when it's offered. Of course, it won't necessarily be so easy with young kids alongside but, hopefully, they'll have worn themselves out with all the initial excitement and will sleep peacefully for a good deal of the way. I don't know about Air NZ, but the Asian flights I've been on insisted on having the blinds down so the whole flight has been undertaken in the dark or The Flight of the Long Night as I call it. Makes it easier to sleep, anyway.

We're flying with Singapore Air. They give you the chance to choose your seats anytime up until you fly and you can choose from their specials menus up to 48 hours before - all online.

Don't try to smuggle any apples in! You may be hung drawn and quartered live on television at peak viewing times.
