Default Shipping one or two boxes - who to use?

Most of our belongings will be shipped in our container but as my daughter is staying to finish Uni - when she finally leaves UK for good she will have more stuff than can fit in her case. What is the best way to ship this over? Do the main international shippers ship small amounts? Could it be sent air freight & if so who does it? Would the shippers pack it like they do a container or would it be up to the individual to pack it & get it to the airport? My OH is panicking about his 'little' girl and wants to get it all sorted before we leave.

Hi, I've done some online quotes with Excess Baggage Company and also with Seven Seas, they seem quite reasonable, they supply the boxes, you pack them and you can get a door to door service, or door to port, whichever you feel like paying for. I'm only going to be shipping about 6 boxes and I think it's going to cost me about ?400, I did a few searches for air freighting the same amount and it came in at about ?1400. I haven't found anyone who has had personal experience of Seven Seas which is who I think I'm going to use.

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers

Thanks Gina. I've checked out PSS online and they do excess baggage for a reasonable price too. OH is a bit more reassured - he thought it would be a lot more expensive. She will only have a portable tv, dvd/video recoder, books, videoe's, dvd's, some pots & pans & crockery. So I reckon 2 or 3 tea chests should be enough.

PSS are pretty reasonable and seem really professional- we are using them to ship our belongings over when we eventually get residence- in the meantime they will be holding it in storage for us.
