Default We've accepted an offer

Our house has been on the market since Sept 07 ... we had an offer earlier this week, but was very low.

This evening though, someone different has offered us a reasonable amount and we've accepted

Am over the moon - esp as this person has the money sitting in the bank all ready!! But already I'm worrying about the enormity of packing our house - esp. as we're heading for NZ as soon as the Visas come through .... till then, we'll be camping at my parents which should be fun!!

Jon

I'm so pleased for you both. What a relief. It'll be all action stations now. Packing up a house is a daunting prospect, speaking as a seasoned house-packer-upper. Just start steadily and methodically with stuff you aren't using currently and then move on to the other stuff bit by bit. The more you pack, the more you can see the wood for the trees and it becomes easier. Good luck with it.

Well, look at it this way, you could be camping at your mother-in-law's .

Gina, sorry you've had a great disappointment but, if your house can be sold once, it can be sold again so, fingerscrossed, it won't take long.

I had a few days of being miserable, but now my glass is definitely half full again. Just painted the front door, have new agents, and I'll start harrassing them at the end of the week, we will sell this house, we will sell this house, etc.

Hope you followed the Feng Shui guidelines for auspicious colours for front doors.

The colours of the door should reflect the compass direction it faces according to the Five Elements and/or be in balance with the elemental properties of the energies of the sector where the door is located. I have listed associated colours below.
South (Fire) = Reds, pink, burgundy.
Southwest (Earth) = Yellows or browns.
West (Metal) = White, silver, copper or gold.
Northwest (Metal) = White, silver, copper or gold.
North (Water) = Blacks or blues.
Northeast (Earth) = Yellows or browns.
East (Wood) = Greens.
Southeast (Wood) = Greens.

Thumbs up

That's it, positive thinking!
We are in a similar situation, we have a buyer, they have 2 potential buyers but both need to sell theirs............................... the joys of the property market!!
This is the only thing holding us up now.
Fingers, arms, legs, toes and everything else crossed to all going through this phase of moving ( or trying to!)
