Default Expert advice

Did anyone use one of these Emigration Expert Advice companies. We have been contacted by one which offers help with all the forms for ?285. Sounds a good deal if it helps secure Residency. Has anyone got any experiences?

Thanks

The general feeling is that whatever the agents can do you can do for yourself and save money. The figure you quoted seems extremely low so I'd be very wary that there wasn't some hidden catch that leads you to spending a lot more. Usually they charge into the thousands for their services.

Some people have used agents and been satisfied with the job they did but they are in the minority. You have to pick very carefully who you use. A lot of people have felt thoroughly ripped off after handing over a huge fee but getting nothing in return. You still have to gather together all the information and documents you will need (which is the hard part) and give them to the agent who just checks them over and sends them off (the easy bit).

And, before I forget, to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome and the info. Sorry for not replying sooner but our internet has been down. It sounds like these advisors are too good to be true. It's just that we want to make sure we get the forms right and are granted residency. Are they that complicated? We are both teachers and under 45 so hopefully we should have a good chance. Do you think there is enough help and advice on this forum to get it right? Thanks again, you are doing a grand job for us "Wannabes!!"

The forms are long but not too complicated. Any questions you have can usually be answered on here. I completed our own and it has now been selected. Many others have done the same. Unless you are unsure which route to go down or have a complicated application then you should have no problem in doing it yourself. As teachers I would imagine you would have no problem in getting accepted. Go for it and good luck
