Hey guys.

Well OH went for a job interveiw this morning for a Project Management job with Manchester City Council.

He has just had a phone call- he got the job

It is only a contract until March though so won't be getting in the way of our move we will just be coming a bit later (when the flights are cheaper conveniently).

The pay is fantastic and seen as we have sold our house and will be living with OH dad we will be able to save most of the money to add to our NZ fund.

Has worked out pretty well really and we are feeling it is a good thing.

Sorry Dawn you will have to wait until April for your Custard.

to Neil. At least it's only a temporary spanner (we hope ) and it'll stand you in good stead for when you get to NZ and start your new life. It appears that Lady Luck is smiling on you at the moment so make the most of it - buy a lottery ticket (and one for me, please ).

Now, the biggest question is, will you still be able to get on the Net at your FIL's house? We can't have you going missing off the forum, especially on the runup to your actual immigration.

It is definately only a temporary spanner- they have said it is only until March as they have someone to take over from then.

Good idea about the lottery ticket MB- might have a go.

There is internet at the FIL's and it is even faster than ours so not gonna get rid of me that easily.

Will be great experience for Neil to put forward to companies in NZ- the wage is about 3x more than what he is on now and he starts on Monday. (Trafford Centre here I come!)

Neil is handing in his notice today and starts his new contract job tomorrow.

I could always send you a couple of sachets in the post Dawn!!

Oh and I now have no car as Neil needs it to get to work everyday (he used to use his motorbike) so we are going car hunting at weekend.

Good luck with the car hunting. Pity you weren't in Hamilton - I know a decent car yard. Folks are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to find you what you want. Ex-UK as well.

It's very quick indeed.

The company he has left weren't too happy that he didn't work his contracted notice but they understand the situation so agreed to it.

He has started today and will be working until 7pm /
His contract ends on 28th feb so we may be heading to NZ in march.

Of course if I was in Hamilton I know where I would be heading for my new car but hey- i'm in Rossendale so will have to find an alternative car supplier.
