Talking Too soon to get excited?
Well guys........

We have this afternoon just accepted an offer on our house. It is a first time buyer with mortgage already lined up so should be a fairly straight forward sale (if that is possible).

Don't want to get too excited yet as it could fall through but I do feel a bit 'odd' knowing that we could be on our way soon.

Seems to be good timing with the Expo on Sunday- now we can go saying we have accepted an offer on the house- aim for a New Year start with regards to job.

If OH can get a job offer from going to the expo and he can start in new year we can get visas sorted before we leave which would be easier.

Finger's crossed nothing goes wrong now.

Nice one Beth You'll know when it's time to get excited coz it'll feel right but I remember feeling just like you do now, almost as if I daren't believe it were true just in case it all went pete tong.

Beth, that is just fabulous news. I think what happens now is that the whole thing actually becomes very real, and all the thoughts and plans can actually start happening ( and the stress!) . I also believe that getting excited is a real positive feeling, always putting things , especially emotions on hold, can stop some really good feelings, better to enjoy the adrenalin and think it will happen than hold your breath and be able to say ( if it goes pear shaped) ' I knew that'. So...go with the positivity and see you there!! Also from what I've read Kiwi women need good underwear!

Thanks Guys.

Feeling more positive now after the Expo- everything seems to be falling into place at the moment.

No contact from solicitors etc about house yet but the girl that is buying it is coming round on Wednesday to have another look round (was about 6 weeks ago when she first came). Just hope she doesn't change her mind.

That may be quite probabale but don't think we will be setting up the business again in NZ- didn't really take off her as too much competition and we didn't have the money to compete and in NZ there isn't the market really.

She was chancing her luck that the house would still be available after all that time. Hope she's wearing her rose-tinted specs when she comes . A second visit after she'd made an offer would make me more nervous than a first time viewer.
