Hello, I'm not sure if this will help, but I have a kiwi licence and I could drive in the UK for 12 months and then I just need to fill in some forms and send off the all important cheque to get a UK licence, so they might have some sort of reciprocal agreement.

You are permitted to drive on a full UK licence in NZ for 12 months. To get a Kiwi licence, all you need to do is take a theory test (just a scratchcard test with 30 questions) and an eyesight test. I would recommend taking the theory test well before your 12 months is up, just in case you fail, gives you a chance to swot up and retake it - if your 12 months expires and you still don't have a Kiwi licence, you won't be able to drive!

As WG says, 12 months on a UK licence and then the scratchcard test, which is like this if you want to have a go.

Yes, 12 months -- provided, though, that your original license is still valid for that same period.
