We've only just started the investigation into the possibilty of moving to NZ but if the OH had his way we'd be there next week - but we are going to do everything we can to make it a reality as soon as possible

eeeek! I have handed in my notice at work, and hoping to leave the UK on the
22nd August....all very real, and VERY scary....but exciting!!!

Glad I started this thread now as it helps to collect everyone together in one place who's making the move in the near future. It's easy to lose track of who's going and when, amongst all the other posts.

Keep in touch Bstar and don't forget us when you make the move.

MonkeyControl and I are planning on travelling to NZ on (or around) 1st November

I told people at work this week, generally people are really pleased for us , some think we're mad for going without having jobs lined up yet and I've lost count of the number of people who are jealous and want to come with us !!!

It's funny but we've been talking about emigrating for years, when we actually put our forms in I kinda didn't really discuss it with people as I didn't want to jinx things and I would have been gutted if we didn't get visas. So many people have said I'm a dark horse for keeping it quiet, but then lots of them have come to me for advice as they'd love to do it themselves!!!

Am so excited and so jealous of Dawn, KiwiHopeful, Bermy Girl and ShellBda for being there now...oh well won't be long now

I'm still treading water, but will probably wander over in the Kiwi autumn for a job hunt/reality check and to activate our blue stickers. My hopes for the US after the 2008 presidential election are not very high.

Hope to arrive Sept 2008 - if OH ever makes up his mind He is making more positive comments about not being in UK next year. Have applied for my nursing registration and when that comes though then I will start the job hunt by which time OH will have to say yes
