Child Care Availability in Wellington or Auckland?

Hi

We are planning to relocate from Sydney to either Wellington or Auckland in the next few months and I have been trying to find out the situation with long day care in these cities. ?In Sydney certain suburbs have very long waiting lists (years), and I am wondering if that is the same in NZ. ?

If anyone has any ideas on this it would be a great help.

Here's a little selection of websites where you can read up on some of the facilities that are available for childcare. ?Perhaps you could email some places to ask whether they have vacant places for the time you will be arriving in NZ. It will give you some ideas about what's on offer and maybe some of our members who are in Wellie or Auckland can give some 'on the ground' info.
