Bermy Girl and I went with Westpac because they made our mortgage process so much easier than ASB. As we were not in NZ we could not meet ASB's strict ID requirements. Westpac agreed to our sending notarized copies of our passports and put the onus on our lawyer to confirm our ID (even though we haven't met the lawyer yet!).

I have looked at their website and it looks pretty good with quite a few options. I guess only time will tell.
