WHAT A BUMMER!!!!!!

I can completley emphathise with you there as to how frustrating the whole process has been.
We thought we would get PR beack in feb, but there was a huge backlog, not to matter we were sure everything would be sorted soon, we found a buyer for our house, the NZIS came back with an initial recommendation for rejection, we didn't want to be in a position of no house and no way of getting ot NZ, so we pulled out of the house sale - especially as our CO implied that it could take months or years even to get over the hurdle. the 4 weeks after we had pulled out of the house sale, we get PR [smiley=icon_evil.gif] By which time hubbie has started a new very good job and is tied into a 3 month probationary period plus 1 months notice. Then last week I got made redundant. Not too upset by that as I had grown to hate the job, but a month later would have been better. So now we have to go through all the house selling lark again. Except it is now probably going to be me flying out on my own to look for a job leaving hubbie back at his parents, instead of flying out together.

As if all the form filling, medicals, police checks, running around collecting stuff and all the waiting isn?t stress enough?????..

Good luck to you all. I just hope your lives are a lot less complicated once you finally get to NZ.

Thank you everyone for your words of support it's picked me up and made me feel that i'm not the only one searching for calmer waters. Lets just hope all our problems are soon blown away.

Positive vibes coming your way from us too - the stress of selling the house is all too recent in our minds - we ended up coming out before completion date, leaving Mother In Law with power of attorney to deal with the tying up of the loose ends (ie putting rocket up estate agents a*se for 'working' for buyers instead of us!) It will come right in the end, and you will soon be jetting off to your dream.

we had the same thing.. and we finally re-sold and now have the money in our sweaty mitts..
real pain in the ass though, have had to take on more debt to see us through and also didn't make as much as fisrt hoped so there's still some debt to service in the UK that we hadn't banked on..

We're still smiling though..

(Well most of the time anyway..)
