Default Shipping Out Wooden Furniture

Hi there,
Please can you tell me the procedure with regards to taking out wooden furniture to NZ? I heard that it needs treating beforehand so how would you go about getting this done? Any information will be gratefully recieved, thankyou.

None of our wooden furniture was specially treated for the move ... and we had both antique furniture and stuff hubby had made himself many years ago. Obviously, they don't like to import furniture with active woodworm or mould. Usually, if there is any uncertainty at MAF here, they will fumigate and charge you (neither of which was done in our case).

I do believe wooden packing crates do have to be heat-treated or sprayed with methyl bromide.
