Transferring $$CASH$$ to NZ

We decided on a Toyota to accommodate our four kids and looked at an Auckland dealer, but decided on one nearer to us. All car dealers want a sale and will help where they can - "no probs". On top of that, many are well used to immigrating poms arriving in the country.

Most cars in NZ are actually pretty good - there is a compulsory test called the WOF (Warrent of Fitness) which cars have to have every 6 months.

Consequently any car with WOF and tax will be fairly reliable - check out trademe.co.nz for car prices before you head to any dealerships.

There is an Auckland car market which is where all my mates have bought cars - have everthing from backpackers bangers to ex-company estate cars. cant remember the website but i am sure if you google for it you can find it.
