That was my feeling exactly, much though I love them one, is 7 and the other is 5, so in 5 years time realistically I could expect at least one of them to die of old age. 2K per cat for 5 years affection is a lot of money, especially when you could get another couple for free when you are out there and have just as loving and affectionate pets again.
Put it this way, if you went to a petshop and saw a cute kitten that you adored and it had a 2 K price tag on it, would you buy it?
