Default Whats the catch???

Just looking on Harcourts at properties and came across this and am curious as to why its so cheap, is it a bad area, could it be falling down. Anybody shed any light on this.

Kahu Street, Ohura $98,000

THE PRICE IS NOT A MISTAKE
This recently redecorated four bedroom brick home has new carpets and lino, a single garage plus rural views. Situated in the lovely township of Ohura.

Hi Tracey,

Try googling Ohura, and you will get info like this:

Even the prisoners are leaving Ohura
12:00AM Saturday July 30, 2005
By Nicola Boyes

A solitary Coca-Cola sign on the footpath of a little town nestled against the rugged King Country hills signals the last commercial venture in a main street abandoned, where the shop windows offer nothing but your reflection.

This is Ohura, 35km off State Highway 4, heading towards Taumarunui. Even the people who make their homes in this town, part of Ruapehu District, say it is "dead".

(Even the prisoners are leaving Ohura - 30 Jul 2005 - King Country)

And according to this Ohura Rural Centre Community Profile(published) unemployment is at 14.3%.

Can't see them being able to give this away.
