Question Hamilton rental market.
Can anyone help us out with the rental market in Hamilton? Online we are trying to do some research on rentals in Hamilton, but we can't seem to find very many. Is there a decent rental market in Hamilton? What is a reasonable area to live in, which has good schools? What would be an average rate?

We want to make sure we have our bases covered with the research in case we end up in Hamilton, which is looking more likely as the days go by in terms of jobs.

No, no rentals in Hamilton. Even if there was, they'd be $20,000 per minute.

Really though, there is a good rental market in Hamilton, but you need to move quick on the houses when they come available as they all get snapped up quickly.

Rates depend on area. The nice areas can be around $400 per week, down to the not so nice areas at $200 per week. The best areas attract rents of $500+ per week.

Areas worth looking at are:

Flagstaff
Rototuna
Callum Brae
St Andrews
Pukete
Dinsdale (only certain parts though!)
Chartwell

I'm afraid the nearest rental available thats in close proximity to Hamilton is in Perth... Perth, Australia.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Of course, you could always put a tent up in our paddock or even a campervan. There's water and power on site i.e. you can share the cows' drinking trough and there's an electric fence running around the place. What more could you want?

Can't think of anything right now...oh, wait minute...warmth, comfort, an enclosed shower, flushing toilet, kitchen...I'm sure more will come to me in a minute...
