Hamilton??????

Hi all,

Can anyone let me know what living in Hamilton is like. Have been informed that I am most likely to get a job in the Waikato area and am looking where would be best to live.

I'm sure Taffy and Welshgirl can give you some info on Hamilton as they have lived there for quite a while now. They love it there so it must have something going for it. Very central for other areas as well.

Taffy did put on a post about Hamilton very recently in the Coffee House under 'Hello Everyone' which gives his thoughts on the place. Perhaps if you've got some specific questions you can lay them out and he or Welshgirl might be able to answer them for you. Also Welsh-one lives in Hamilton and I believe she thinks it's great as well.

We live in Morrinsville, near to Hamilton and we have to say Hamilton is a great place. We did a great deal of research before deciding where to live in New Zealand and it is a fact that being near to Hamilton became an important factor for us.

We looked at and visited may other parts of NZ and the other cities. When we finally decided that it was North Island for us, Waikato was he obvious choice. It is very central for so much of the best of North Island and Hamilton is such an easy city to more around, park, shop and find entertainment.

We would recommend it to anyone and if you what any further info, just ask.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't realisticly got that much of a choice of where I will live as my awaited job offer is most likely to be in Waikato. So it's nice to know that the area is nice and central.
