Christchurch suberbs

Can anyone please help?

My wife and I plus our two children are looking to move to the Christchurch area in the middle of 2006, but are finding it very hard to narrow down potential areas to live.

We are primarily looking toward lifestyle blocks $350 - 400,000 and came across the areas of Sefton and Ashley.

We would be very grateful if anyone has got any comments on these or other potential areas, including schooling for two boys 9 and 6.

Sorry, also how long would it take to the centre of Christchurch?

Although i don't know the areas you are describing, commuting from that radius will be about 45- over 1 hour.
