    Default Arrived and loving it

    Hi all,

We arrived in Auckland almost 2 weeks ago and our feet have not touched the ground. We rented a holiday cottage just to get us somewhere to stay but have now found a wonderful 4 bedroom house in Albany for the longer term.

Steve started work in the CBD on Monday and he is enjoying it very much. I have been busy preparing our house for us to move in and its all very exciting. We love it here on the North Shore and its so handy for everything. Our two cats will be joining us from the UK in a couple of weeks (missed them so much) and can't wait to pick them up.

We have also bought a Toyota Rav4, which is great.

We move into our house later today and our phone and internet are being connected early next week, therefore will be without internet access over the weekend.

Talking to friends and family back in the UK and its done nothing but rain.

We are both looking forward to exploring our new country and only wish we'd done it earlier.

It was a long roller-coaster journey with lots of ups and downs but we are here now and it was all worth while.

    Looking forward to the summer

    Elaine (Steve's wife)

That's fantastic! How's the commute for your husband? We are moving to NZ in January and we'll be in Auckland. I'll be working in the CBD and we were wondering where to live. Luckily I don't have to travel during rush hours.

Ooohh .. sounds fantastic ... so glad to hear you're having fun.

Although we only staying in Auckland a week, we were quite taken with North shore ... not at all what we were expecting from the stories of how big and busy Auckland was.

All the best - and hope the house move goes well,

    Lou

Congrats on reaching your goal, Steve and Elaine. Sounds like you've got everything under control and having your own home can only make things better. With the summer to look forward to, what more could you ask for?
