Default Dog cargo crates?
Quick question .. how the hell do we dispose of one large wooden crate in Auckland?

In the UK, it'd be a quick trip to the tip ...

Hey Jon, Welcome to NZ. You could sell the crate on TradeMe - someone will buy it. Or look online for the nearest refuse station and take it there. You'll probably have to pay $5 to dump it, but will probably be happy to pay on the basis that local dumps in NZ aren't policed by Refuse Nazis like the ones in the UK!

We kept ours Jon, we thought they might come in handy if we ever needed the dogs to sleep outside, in with the blanket, nice and easy. We also weren't sure whether we'd be back off to the good old UK! On the other hand, you are going to be travelling so........see your point. Kokos suggestion is a good one, never thought of Trademe!

I was just about to offer to keep it for you but you've still gotta get it here from Akl - durrrrr!!

I read, quite a long while ago, that there was somewhere in the airport that you could take them. I guess they re-use them or maybe even sell them to folks with pets wanting to travel.

problem is sorted. The landlady of the place we are renting wants it in case she has anyone that stays, has a dog and wants use of one. We are checking out trademe as I type looking for a collapsible one. Willow is crate trained and it makes life a lot easier if she has somewhere to hide from the kids!
