Default My family have booked their flights.......Yay

My parents called today to say thats their flights are payed for.
They are leaving Glasgow on my dads birthday,1st dec
And going back on the 8th feb
Andrew my 19yrold son is heading back on the 5th jan though
    Due to college,work etc
But heres hoping when he visits this beautiful place,he might think about a perm move in the future.
Ohhh i canny wait to see them all again and at least our first xmas in the sun wont feel so weird as i will have all my family around me anyway.
Nicoles wee boyfriend is trying to find work (bless) to pay for a holiday back here in january again.
At least if he could manage over again it would be summer,as it was pretty cold when he was here, but didnt spoil nothing for him anyway
    He loved it here

Now the excitement of waiting for your container is over, this will give you something else to look forward to. Great stuff! I'm sure it will be wonderful for all concerned.

Fab Meadow, that'll certainly make all the difference. Our first Christmas (last year) really freaked us out, I mean honestly. We had no idea what to do with the day. It didn't feel like Christmas, it didn't seem like Christmas. There isn't the big Christmas build up here like in UK. We used to love doing the Christmas shopping, taking time over the weekends to scour the shops for the perfect present for family and friends but here, we didn't even feel like going to look, there just wasn't the same impetus. The Kiwis seem to look forward to Christmas because it symbolises their long summer break. In the UK, it breaks up the long, dark winter. It has completely different connotations.

Having your family here will make the world of difference. I'm so pleased for you and for them because it'll be so much nicer here than in Glasgow that's for sure. (Although, we've spent many a wonderful Christmas and New Year in Glasgow!)

    Cheers Dawn
Aye new year used to be a big thing in Glasgow,i used to love it as my mum always had parties
Though the past few years now,its been very quite, and i actually couldnt be arsed with new year at all.
Ended up us all sitting after the bells watching bloody Jools Holland
Christmas i think was more speacial, especially with kids, and we always at the end up had the dinner at ours,so my ma loved it,getting it all put down to her.
And yip charging about the town getting pressies(usually last minute with me)
We tried to fit in the odd panto too,as Nicoles birthday is in dec,and the town had a good buzz to it
I think it is going to be really weird here, especially with the tree and lights etc
Though i am looking forward to the bells in NZ,as my family will all be here, and no Jools(hopefully) surely they dont have that irritating wee guy on telly here
Right enough they do have Colin and Justin
